The Honda CB250N and CB400N Super Dream are motorcycles manufactured by the Honda Motor Company from 1978 to 1986. The successor to the short lived Dream model, it had a series of revisions including a six-speed transmission and what Honda termed as European styling which resembled the CB750F and CB900F.It was a popular model for Honda with 70,000 bikes sold in the UK alone. It was a 1980 CB400N, customized into a scrambler. I swapped the tank with a CB500 that i found from a guy living next to me. My original tank was full of rust while the new one is rust free on the inside. Also the back frame was in preety bad condition, so i cut if of and re built it. not sure there ever was a 250 scrambler (probably wrong, again) but there was a cl360 scrambler (probably for the american market) I dont think honda changed a great deal, bars,tyres,exhausts and maybe rear shocks, so making one from american bits and bobs would seem viable. hope this helps Selling my Honda superdream 400 retro scrambler , has has many new parts ,including battery ,starter motor ,carbs have been rebuilt , has mot and tax till jan 2021 , starts first time ,gears change all good , bad points has a rattling noise from engine , been told its the timing chain ,but I don't know enough about bikes to say what it is.
